The HCC Outreach Newsletter for May, 2013

Visit HCC in May for our end of semester student concerts and a special guest performance by an HCC alumnus. On Saturday, May 4, violinist Rasa Mahmoudian returns to HCC to perform with piano faculty Kristina Suter in a recital of works by de Falla, Pärt, Bartok, and Elgar. The May 6 Student Spotlight concert features some of our best voice and piano students. The HCC Student Jazz Ensemble will play a variety of great standards on Tuesday, May 7. There are two Chamber Music Programs on May 9 and May 11, including duos, trios, the HCC Percussion Ensemble, the HCC Cello Ensemble, and the Chamber Orchestra.

Our student concert series concludes on Sunday, May 12, with the HCC Singers, directed by Wei-Der Huang, and the HCC-Bain Center Senior Choir, directed by Rita Mayhew. Also, please join us for recitals by the talented young students of The Music Institute at HCC. There are two recitals on Saturday, May 11, and an honors recital on Sunday, May 19.
